Roseland Rugby Club with Richard Cotterill

Welcome to another episode of the Roseland Podcast

I’m Chloe, your host.

It’s been a while since we talked sport on the show, and this week I’m catching up with the Chairman of Roseland Rugby Club Richard Cotterill.

If this is the first episode you’re listening to you can find and listen to the podcast at Roselandpodcast.com, on iTunes/Apple Podcast, on Spotify and all other podcast apps just search for “Roseland Podcast”.

At Roselandpodcast.com you’ll also find links to any resources we mention.

This week I took a look at our listener stats - and we’re being listened to in 17 different countries! Whilst over 90% of our listeners are in the UK, we’re also being listened to in….

  • USA
  • France
  • Brazil
  • Germany
  • Botswana
  • Australia
  • Bulgaria
  • Canada
  • Cyprus
  • Malaysia
  • Mexico
  • New Zealand
  • Spain
  • Switzerland
  • Taiwan
  • AND Trinidad and Tobago

So if you’ve been spreading the word to family and friends overseas - thank you for helping us go a little bit global!

Interview time!

Time to talk rugby

So training starts next Saturday afternoon - that’s Sept 5th at the Rugby pitch in Philleigh - head out the village with the pub on your right and you can’t miss it.

If you’re interested in going to training next week, playing or supporting then you’ll find all the details at the RoselandRFC.com website.

It’s a very sociable club for both players and spectators organising a lot of events throughout the year including the annual tour, unfortunately, Rich couldn’t talk about the tours as what goes on tour stays on tour…

If you’d like to hear from some of the other sports team and activities that happen on the peninsula then just have a scroll through the back catalogue where we talk about all kinds of sporting activities.

If you want to make sure you hear the rest of the shows then bookmark roselandpodcast.com, and look for us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or your usual podcast app and subscribe.

If you’ve got an idea for us, or would like to come on the show then just drop us an email to roselandpodcast@gmail.com with your ideas and any questions you’ve got.

Be kind and stay safe.

About the Podcast

Roseland Podcast
Updates on services, art, culture, history, sport(!), to help us feel less isolated
An audio podcast to help the communities on the Roseland stay connected during these interesting times.

Hopefully including:
- updates on services (like takeaways and food deliveries) from local businesses
- chats with interesting local people about interesting things
- updates on what people are doing to help each other

I suspect it will evolve as the weeks roll by...

NOT a source of medical advice! or politics.

Aim is to help those living on the Roseland peninsula feel a little less isolated.
Roughly speaking that means St Mawes, St Just-in-Roseland, Gerrans & Portscatho, Philleigh & Treworthal, Ruan Lanihorne, Tregony, Veryan and Portloe and all the little villages and homes in-between.
